Makah Legal Clinic

Any Makah tribal community member can meet with attorneys and law students about a variety of civil legal issues, including but not limited to the following:

• Housing

• Family

• Advanced Planning (Powers of Attorneys, Wills, and Estates)

• Forfeitures

• Post Conviction Support (Waiving/Reducing Legal Financial Obligations and Vacating Convictions, Driver’s Licenses)

• Debt (Medical Debt, Consumer Debt Collection, Small Claims, Bankruptcy)

• General Civil (Non-Criminal) Legal Issues

This Clinic is a colloboration between Skagit Legal Aid, the Makah Tribe, and the Northwest Center for Indigenous Law at Seattle University School of Law.

Clients can walk-in on the day of the clinic or call (360) 230-8101 to pre-register.
